On October 15th, we celebrate the 6th birthday of The Anti-Abuse Project and the official launch of RBLmon.
We release the public beta of RBLmon - the first fully automated RBL monitoring service.
The Anti-Abuse Project achieves top ranking (1st page) on Google for the key phrase "rbl check". Naturally, that brings a lot of incoming traffic to the website as more people begin to use our Multi-RBL checking tool.
We receive a lot of inquiries about a possible solution for automating the process, allowing for the monitoring of multiple IP addresses.
It all starts as a collective effort by a small group of tech and law students who share a common interest in cybersecurity. Finding resources on various forms of Internet abuse and the related legal matters proves to be a challenge in the year 2004. Information is scarce and scattered.
The team is determined to collect whatever data they can discover and put it all together into a singular online resource.
On October 15th, the first version of The Anti-Abuse Project website is launched.
